Jazz Ensemble

Deep Run High School Jazz Ensemble

This course gives students the opportunity to develop basic to advanced skills in the jazz idiom.  Emphasis is placed on artistic performance commensurate with the standard of the finest professional groups.  Students become acquainted with the great heritage of jazz band literature.  Students in the Jazz Ensemble are expected to take private music lessons.  Before and after-school rehearsals and performances are required of all students.
